Matches for the BTA’s top flight will be at the William Loud complex from 7pm.
Butterflies are not assured of a finals berth and were stung by last Saturday’s loss to Spring Gully Words and Pictures Photography.
In the premiership race, Butterflies lead BTC Taipans by 3 ½ points going into the second-last round of the home and away series.
Strathfieldsaye outpointed Butterflies by 20 games in their most recent meeting in the 10th round.
• Growl Weightlifting takes on Taipans in the battle of the BTC clubmates.
Weightlifting has a win-loss tally of 2-9 and 35 points and faces a team fighting for a berth in the finals.
• Castlemaine played brilliantly to beat Taipans last round and will be determined to repeat the feat against BTC Cobras.
A key factor for Castlemaine will be the availability of Isaac Watson in the number one singles berth.
• Spring Gully Words and Pictures Photography faces the ladder-leading South Bendigo.
The Gully line-up improved its season record to 3-8 after arguably it’s best performance of the season against Butterflies on the grass last round.
Ladder: South Bendigo 11, 1, 87; Strathfieldsaye 10, 3, 78; BTC Cobras 7, 5, 63 ½; Spring Gully Strath Eppalock Butterflies 6, 6, 61; BTC Taipans 5, 7, 57 ½; Spring Gully Words and Pictures Photography 3, 8, 51; Castlemaine 4, 9, 45; BTC Growl Weightlifting 2, 9, 35.
