Bendigo will be the first stop for the Globetrotters on their Australian tour on Friday, April 13, from 7pm.
The Globerotters’ show when announced in December had initially been earmarked to be the opening event of the Bendigo Stadium’s new $22 million 4000-seat showcourt currently under construction.

However, with no completion date yet for the expansion, the Globetrotters show will be held on the existing main court, which will accommodate up to 2200 people.
“Although it’s disappointing the new expansion will not be in readiness for this event, there will be no end of world class sporting and entertainment talent in the not too distant future,” Bendigo Stadium chief executive officer Nathan O’Neill said on Thursday.
“We have been working closely with the NBL to finalise the Harlem Globetrotters’ visit to Bendigo and are proud to play host for their first event held in Australia this year.”
Tickets for the Bendigo event went on sale on Thursday through Ticketek.
Ticket prices:
Courtside ticket – $129.
Gold ticket – $79.
Children Gold ticket – $59
Family Gold ticket (2 adults, 2 children) – $260
The Harlem Globetrotters were formed in 1926 and are one of the most popular entertainment brands in the world.
The Bendigo show will be the first of 10 in 10 days for the Globetrotters on their Australian tour.
Their Australia visit is part of the Globetrotters “Amazing Feats of Basketball” world tour.
“We want to bring the biggest and best basketball events to Australia. We are in the business of delivering great family entertainment and the Globetrotters are just that,” NBL owner Larry Kestelman said in announcing the tour in December.
The Globetrotters are the holders of 17 Guiness World Records.
Among their most recent world records was in November last year when Thunder Law set a new benchmark for the highest upwards basketball shot, connecting from 50 feet and one inch.
