EARLIER: Police are making enquiries after a woman was seen fleeing a crash in North Bendigo on Wednesday morning.
About 8.50am, a white Kia van travelling north on Kookaburra Avenue ran into a parked car, pushing it out onto the road and causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the van, a woman described as being aged 30 to 40, reversed a short way down the street before fleeing the scene on foot.
The van was unregistered and was towed from the scene.
Leading Senior Constable Peter Bullock said police were chasing leads and speaking to witnesses.
He said the driver, once located, would undergo breath and oral fluid tests.
Leading Senior Constable Bullock said the airbags in the van were not deployed and it was believed the driver would have suffered no injury.
