Thousands of properties were affected when fires broke out on two power poles in Bendigo: one at Milroy and Bannerman streets, and the other on Sailors Gully Road.
UPDATE 7.45am: There has been another power pole fire in Bendigo.
The cross-arm of a power pole at the corner of Milroy and Bannerman streets caught fire on Monday morning.
It followed another similar fire on Sailors Gully Road.
More than 560 properties are without power as a result of the most recent fire.
Powercor is on scene.
EARLIER: More than 2000 properties across central Victoria are without power on Monday morning, believed to be the result of a small fire on a power pole.
Early Monday morning CFA crews attended the scene on Sailors Gully Road, where a small fire broke out on the cross-arm of a power pole.
Locations affected by the outage include California Gully, where 144 properties are without power, Eaglehawk, where 270 properties are affected, and Inglewood, where almost 500 properties have no power.
Powercor’s website lists the estimated restoration time as 9am.
