Heading into the final round of the home and away season, all eight teams could finish in the top four.
But the only change to the top four on Saturday was Inglewood forcing its way in at the expense of Boort-Yando.
Inglewood successfully defend its score of 186 against Serpentine, which was all out for 112
Serpentine – which ended its return season on the bottom of the ladder – lost its last five wickets for 12 runs as Inglewood’s Robert Stranger (4-3) did the late damage with the ball.
• Reigning premier Bridgewater booked its finals berth after producing its highest score of the season.
Chasing minor premier Arnold’s 215, the Bulls answered with 7-230, which featured an unbeaten 55 from Tom McKinley, plus a solid start by openers Josh Hann (49) and Andrew Collins (47).
• Boort-Yando tumbled from fourth to seventh following its defeat to Newbridge.
Boort-Yando crashed from 0-101 to all out for 147 in reply to Newbridge’s 4-221.
Newbridge opening bowler Eathan Collins led the downfall of Boort-Yando with 6-39 off 13 overs.
Apart from openers Alistair Scholl (74) and Alister Knight (33), no other Boort-Yando player made more than four.
• Wedderburn avoided the wooden spoon by upsetting Kingower.
Defending 184, Wedderburn dismissed Kingower for 172, led by 5-60 off 21 overs from Adam Postle, which followed on from his 6-42 against Bridgewater the previous round.

The last pair of Chris Slattery (7 n.o.) and Alex Williamson (0 n.o.) combined to guide Heathcote to a thrilling one-wicket win over Colbinabbin in the Northern United Cricket Association.
Chasing Colbinabbin’s 114, the Saints crashed from 6-110 to 9-110, but Slattery and Williamson denied the Ducks their fourth win by lifting Heathcote to 9-117.
• Bagshot opener Ben Hamilton (100) scored a ton in his side’s comfortable win over Calivil.
Hamilton’s 100 helped Bagshot to 7-238 before Calivil was all out for 120.
• Raywood upset Dingee with an eight-wicket win.
The Foxes routed the second-placed Blowfiles for just 45, before answering with 2-46 in 19 overs.
• Elmore skipper James Harney (5-23) and Matt Gilmour (4-18) combined for nine wickets in the flag favourite Redbacks’ win over Goornong, which was routed for just 49.
Elmore replied with 2-50 in a game between top and bottom that lasted just 24.2 overs.
