The El Disaster Mallee Run returned for a second time in November last year, raising $6000 for prostate cancer awareness and $500 for Men’s Health Bendigo.
The run saw car and motorbike enthusiasts hit the road, travelling 800 kilometres in five days and through towns such as Durham Ox, Birchip, Brim, Halls Gap, Maryborough and Castlemaine.
Two new events also featured on the calendar for the group, with drag-racing at the Heathcote Dragstrip and a “Flathead Sunday” at the Axe Creek Cricket Club on the weekend before the ride.
The El Disaster Mallee Run raised more than $1100 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia in 2016.
