The Bendigo community theatre group is presenting comedy-drama Australia Day from June 1 to 9.
Australia Day is written by Jonathan Biggins and focus on a council committee trying to plan events for their Australia Day celebration.
Director Wendy Collishaw said the play was topical.
“We try and do one Australian-authored play each year and this is an Australian play with an Australian flavour,” she said.
“It is also relevant to our culture and suits (Synchronicity) because it is a small-cast comedy drama.”
Roles for four males and two female will be filled with ages ranging from 20 to 65.
Synchronicity is now in its fourth year and is building a reputation for quality productions.
An information night for Australia Day is on Monday, February 26, at the Eaglehawk Baptist Church in Parsonage Grove.
