KANGAROO Flat and Eaglehawk’s batsmen will be fighting to keep their teams Bendigo District Cricket Association finals hopes alive when round 11 resumes on Saturday.
With Bendigo having already been beaten by Sandhurst on day one, Kangaroo Flat now knows it can close the gap to the top four back to just one game if it defeats Golden Square.
The Roos are 3-50 in reply to Golden Square’s 142 at MyJet Oval, with Daniel Barber (6 n.o.) and night watchman Liam Jones (1 n.o.) to continue the chase.
At the QEO, Eaglehawk needs 45 more runs with six wickets in hand to defeat ladder-leader Strathdale-Maristians.

If the Hawks are beaten they will be 15 points outside the top four with two rounds to play and set to become the first reigning premier since Strathfieldsaye in 2002 to miss the BDCA finals.
With Sandhurst having already defeated Bendigo the key interest in their clash at Weeroona Oval is whether the Dragons have a crack at outright points.
