Marong is gunning for a second win over Sedgwick in the EVCA this season.

MARONG needs 150 runs with eight wickets in hand to inflict what would be another upset win over Sedgwick in the Emu Valley Cricket Association on Saturday.

Despite the contrasting results of the two teams this season – Sedgwick is top and Marong is seventh – the Panthers have already shocked the Rams once with a 19-run one-day win in round nine.

On Saturday at Marong the Panthers will resume their innings at 2-35 in reply to Sedgwick’s 184, which had one stage been 0-114.

In other round 12 games continuing on Saturday, Spring Gully is 0-18 in pursuit of Mandurang’s 243 in the match of the round between second and third at Mandurang.

At California Gully Oval, the resurgent West Bendigo has 178 to defend against Golden Gully, which is 1-13.

And Maiden Gully will be aiming to make it a second win over United this season when it defends its tally of 229 against the Tigers at home.
