An information night has been arranged for prospective volunteers.
The chief executive officer of the Bendigo-based branch, Leo Schultz, said Lifeline volunteers came from all walks of life.
“Some are students wanting to add a practical element to their studies, we have people who work full or part-time and retirees who see Lifeline as a way to keep active and engaged in the community,” he said.
“We are very fortunate to have the support of the local community both as volunteers, undertaking the demanding but rewarding work of 13 11 14, and secondly we receive the much-needed financial support from the community.”
The information night starts at 6pm on January 31 at the La Trobe Art Institute, located at 121 View Street, Bendigo.
Mr Schultz said anyone interested in attending could call the Lifeline administration number on 5443 1330.
