The grant aims to assist groups or businesses looking to introduce projects that have the potential to increase visitation to the Bendigo Region.
“We must encourage small businesses and groups who are looking to introduce innovative tourism projects by offering them financial support to get these initiatives off the ground,” Bendigo Tourism Board chairwoman Kathie Bolitho said.
“There are many people in Bendigo who have great ideas which will increase Bendigo’s profile as a vibrant tourism destination, however they need a helping hand to turn these ideas into reality.
“Our hope is that this grant will give them the nudge that they need.”
Discovery Science and Technology Centre, Taylor’d Tours and the Bendigo Visitor Centre received the first grants in 2017.
Grants of up to $5000 will be awarded to applicants. Anyone interested in applying can download the application form by visiting bendigotourism.partners/grants
Applications close on May 30 with successful applicants being announced in July.
