Both were born at the former Mt Alvernia Mercy Hospital, now St John of God Bendigo Hospital, on May 14, 1987.
They lived near each other for part of their lives, had many mutual friends, and even went to the same school at one point.
But it wasn’t until they befriended one another online that they each realised their soulmate had been close by, all along.
Megan added Aaron on Facebook a few years ago.
Once the pair started talking, they found it difficult to stop.
“The first time we met, it just felt comfortable,” Megan said.
Chatting online led to frequent conversations over the phone.
Aaron and Megan then started spending more and more time together.
These days, the couple is almost inseparable.
“You don’t look for what’s right in front of you,” Megan said.
Friends and family have said the match was meant to be.
Tomorrow, they will watch as Megan and Aaron are married at Belvoir Park Estate.
Megan’s mother, celebrant Vicki Coghill, will conduct the ceremony.
“It’s such a special thing,” Vicki said.
She said she was honoured to play a part in the wedding.
“I’ve been told I’m not allowed to cry,” Vicki said.
