The Braves defeated Swan Hill Flyers 83-58 on the weekend to retain second spot on the ladder ahead of this weekend’s final regular season round.
Rhys Brown led the Braves with 21 points, while Kai Daniels chipped in with 12.
The Braves (8-2) play two matches this weekend against Kyneton Tigers (3-8) in Kyneton on Saturday and fourth-placed Maryborough Blazers (6-4) at Bendigo Stadium on Sunday.
The Hornets lead the ladder with a 10-1 record and this weekend host Mildura Heat.
In women’s action, the Lady Braves (8-2) remain in second place following a 71-57 win over Swan Hill.
Sharna Appleby led the Lady Braves with 14 points, with great support from Madeline Sexton (12), Dani O’Toole (11) and Caitlin McLachlan (nine).
Sexton leads all Lady Braves players in scoring this season, with her 15 points per game ranking her third in the league.
Matches against Kyneton and Maryborough will complete the regular season for the Lady Braves.
