Internal works are still under way and the project is expected to be complete in the coming months before an official opening.
The centre is planned to provide training in a broad range of health fields, partnering with La Trobe University in nursing.
Bendigo TAFE chief executive officer Trevor Schwenke said the centre was designed to provide jobs in areas of employment locally.

“This state funded facility will bring great benefits not just for emerging health and community services students, but for industry and the region as a whole,” he said.
“We have already signed collaborative ventures with Bendigo Health, Bendigo Community Health and others to ensure industry-relevant training.
“This is critical for us as it is the best guarantee that our graduates will be properly skilled and work ready. It also allows for us to engage in leadership in workforce planning as we are better placed to predict and address future trends.”
New courses will be offered in leisure and health, community sector management, health science foundations, and child, youth and family intervention.
It will also build on courses offered in community services, health and nursing, children’s services, aged care, education support, dental assisting, disability, pathology, and work health and safety.
The centre has been planned since 2014 when Bendigo TAFE merged with Kangan Institute.
The project involved the refurbishment and refitting of an existing building on the site, and the demolition of a building.
Works also started last year on the $7.8 million agricultural centre of excellence at the Charleston Road campus. It is expected to be complete by March this year, offering training in food and fibre production, animal care management, plants and landscapes, and food processing.
