With 84 of the 90 holes at the final stage of qualifying school in Thailand completed, Martin looked set to to miss out on the chance to join Asian Tour.
Needing to finish inside the top 35 at the end of five rounds, Martin was two shots outside the top 35 with six holes remaining.
The former Australian Amateur champion produced a stunning finish to catapult himself up the leaderboard.
His run started with a birdie on the par-five fourth – his 13th hole of the final round.
A par on the par-five fifth was followed by back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes.
Martin made a par on the par-three eighth before booking his Asian Tour card with a fine birdie on the par-four ninth.
After starting the final round in 50th place, Martin’s 67 on Sunday saw him leap to a tie for 20th at four-under par. He was one of 11 Aussies to finish inside the top 35.
The 2018 Asian Tour starts on Thursday with the Singapore Open.
