Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields opens on Friday and will continue for nine days, featuring 24 recitals.
The festival, which is in its 23rd year, draws people from across Australia and overseas.
Along with Castlemaine, Daylesford and Ballarat, this year’s venues include Carngham, Clunes and Creswick.
One of the highlights this year will be the performance of the Missa Salzburgensis.
The work, by Heinrich Biber, was missing for 200 years and is not often performed.
It will close the festival, with leading Australian baroque performers and two university choirs.
People who are interested in attending the event can buy tickets online at https://secure.cbl.com.au/ootg/2018/, or at the Ballarat Visitor Information Centre.
