Macedon Ranges Shire residents are invited to share their ideas on arts and culture in the area as the council develops its next strategy to guide promotion, support and investment over the next 10 years.

Community wellbeing director Karen Stevens said the council wanted people to consider the roles art and culture play in their everyday lives in the Arts and Cultural Strategy 2018-2028.

“We’re looking to get a comprehensive overview of people’s ideas, challenges and priorities that will support our local arts and cultural economy and contribute to a sense of place that is important to our local community,” she said.

Submissions close Thursday, February 1 and it is anticipated that the draft strategy will be open for public comment in April this year.
