In all, 12 trees or branches fell on fence lines last night.
The immediate priority at Nola and Ken Aicken’s home was repairing a fence that separated horses and children attending the school next door.
Mrs Aicken said the couple was safe. Mr Aicken had been at work at the time the storm hit and she had been out with friends.
Apart from the 12 limbs that fell on fences, Mrs Aicken had not yet surveyed the rest of the trees that came down in paddocks.
“As long as the fences are repaired and the horses are safe the rest can be sorted out in due course,” she said.
Most would be repaired by Mr Aicken but the couple’s insurance company would need to have a look at the front fence, which was taken out by an enormous ironbark.
