EARLIER: A GRASS and scrub fire at Huntly is under control.
The fire started about 1.20pm. Four vehicles attended the site, along with a water bomber.
On days above low to moderate fire danger, the Helitak 335 and Firebird 305 choppers are dispatched to any grass or bushfire in the region.
A severe weather warning is in place for parts of central Victoria, with damaging winds forecast.
Affected locations could include Kyneton and Daylesford.
In an unrelated matter, a number of properties are without power in Huntly, due to a planned outage.
