The 18-year-old got up at 6.30am to find out her score as soon as possible.
“It was quite a surprise, I was happy I had done well and done my best,” she said.
Sarah’s VCE subjects included English, further maths, psychology, sociology, studio arts and health and human development.

“I’m planning on studying education and needed a 60 ATAR score for that. Getting 96 was very surprising,” Sarah said.
“I really love working with kids and am passionate about inspiring a younger generation.”
Sarah said 26 year 12 students make up VCC’s 2018 graduation class.
“We are quite a close, small group but I haven't heard any scores from my friends in the year yet,” she said.
VCC has been offering VCE subjects since 2014 making this year’s year 12 group it fourth graduating class.
Deputy principal Chris Harvey said the school was excited with the year 12 results.
“We have had our highest results yet and the staff have worked really hard to help the students achieve the best we can,” he said.

“The first year we only had five year 12 students but as school numbers have increased, so have the number of subjects. We now offer 22 year 12 subjects.
“Quite a few of this year’s students are looking at studying business or education. Some are headed into trade work.
“Our careers team have worked with all the year 12 students.”
