St Liborius School in Eaglehawk will receive $1.2 million to reconstruct student amenities and to refurbish 10 general learning areas.
Creek Street Christian College will receive $300,000 to turn its existing hall into an arts centre, and to upgrade the school’s food and technology kitchen.
The funding comes from the federal government’s Capital Grants Program for non-public schools.
It is provided to schools that do not have enough “capital resources” to fund their own upgrades.
The funding is additional to funding from the state government, non-government school authorities and school communities.
Victorian Senator Jane Hume said the whole community would benefit from the upgrades to the two schools in Bendigo.
