The Victoria Country squad, which includes Bendigo products Jack Bouwmeester and James Ryan, lost by seven wickets to Western Australia on Friday.
Batting at number six, Ryan made 25 off 39 balls before being run out.
Bouwmeester batted at number 10 and made 11 not out in Vic Country’s score of 212.
In reply, WA made 3-215, passing the target with three balls to spare.
Bouwmeester took the new ball and had figures of 0-32 off seven overs, while Ryan had 0-21 off five overs.
Todd Murphy made one and had figures of 0-27 off six overs in the Cricket Australia XI’s loss to ACT/NSW Country.
