BBD midweek pennant season reaches halfway mark on Monday

THE Bendigo Bowls Division midweek pennant season reaches the halfway mark when round seven is played on Monday.

Round seven is highlighted by the clash of the top two teams, Kangaroo Flat and Castlemaine.

The Flat has plenty of momentum behind it, having won its past five games by an average of 19 shots.

Such has been the dominance of Kangaroo Flat following a round one loss to Bendigo East, it’s 19 points clear in top spot and clearly the side to beat.

Below the Flat is a logjam of five teams, with just nine points separating second-placed Castlemaine from Eaglehawk in sixth position.
