THE Bendigo District Cricket Association expects most of its afternoon games to go ahead.

BDCA president Wayne Walsh told the Bendigo Advertiser that all first XI games are scheduled to go ahead as planned from 1pm.

Three of the second XI games are also expected to go ahead, although, there is doubt over the Bendigo v Strathfieldsaye and Sandhurst v Golden Square second XI matches going ahead.

This morning’s junior games and third XI and under-18 matches had been called off yesterday by the BDCA board due to the wet weather.

All Northern United cricket matches were called off yesterday.

In the Emu Valley, it will be the decisions of the captains as to whether play resumes.

EVCA officials visited all grounds this morning and all grounds were playable, but soem rain in the last half an hour could have an impact.
