Featuring musicians from Bendigo South East, Weeroona, Victory Christian and Bendigo Senior Secondary colleges, more than 40 performers highlighted their achievements in music for the year.
Hosted by the Bendigo Instrumental Music Program, the concert was a chance for students to celebrate their year, farewell year 12 performers and showcase their talents.
BIMP co-ordinator Jane Geddes said there was a lot to celebrate.
“Sopme of the year 12s have been with the program since year 7 and musicians visited the UK as part of the program earlier in the year,” she said.
“Quite a few will go on to study music at university while others will play with groups like teh Bendigo Symphony Orchestra. A lot of young performers take that opportunity earlier.”
“The string program is getting strong and stronger. This is the biggest numbers we have had for a while.”
