Investigators with the Bendigo Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team are continuing to look into the incident.
Police have not released any further details on the circumstances of the reported incident at this stage.
During the festival, detectives with the Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit charged a 23-year-old man with indecent assault and unlawful assault in relation to a series of separate incidents involving three people.
He was also charged with possession of cannabis and will face Bendigo Magistrates’ Court in January.
The Earthcore electronic music festival ran for five days and drew thousands to central Victoria.
While many festival-goers reported a good time, drug issues were prevalent, with medical staff on-site telling police of numerous occasions of people seeking assistance after falling ill.
GHB and LSD were reported to be the illicit substances causing the most issues.
But police said the revellers were, overall, “very well-behaved” throughout the event.
Police monitoring motorists leaving the festival also detected at least 70 offences by Tuesday morning, including eight drivers under the influence of drugs and one drink-driver.
