City of Greater Bendigo mayor Margaret O’Rourke said the annual Christmas tree light up was a very popular and much loved community event that marked the countdown to Christmas and the start of the Summer in the Parks program, sponsored by Bendigo TAFE this year.
“I encourage residents to pack a picnic and enjoy this free family event,” she said.
The program features a range of free or low cost events during the months of December, January and February. Visit www.bendigosummerintheparks.com for more.
