The organisation, which operates Kangan Institute, Bendigo TAFE, eWorks and VETASSESS, announced Peter Harmsworth AO would take over from departing chairman Michael Brown.
Mr Harmsworth has sat on the Bendigo Kangan Institute board since 2016.
He previously held senior positions in state government departments and agencies, including corrections, TAFE & ACFE, justice and industry.
The newly appointed chairman thanked his predecessor for his contributions to the organisation.
“Michael has played an integral role as Chair of Bendigo Kangan Institute over the three and a half years - we thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life.”
Mr Brown was chairman for the past 3.5 years of the merged Bendigo Kangan Institute. Before that he was a board member of Kangan Institute for seven years.
