Police have released hundreds of images of jewellery believed to have been stolen during home burglaries earlier this year.
Gang Crime Squad detectives uncovered the items as part of an investigation into the handling and receiving of stolen jewellery.
It is believed the items were stolen during home burglaries across the state in the weeks leading up to October 5 this year.
Detective Sergeant Ashley Penry said although police had worked hard to find the owners, there was still a lot of unclaimed jewellery.
“It is not very often that we find such high quantities of stolen jewellery in its original form,” he said.
“Usually it’s been melted down or sold before we are involved, so this is a unique position for us.”

The jewellery was seized from a store in Collins Street, Melbourne, in October.
“We know that jewellery often holds a lot of sentimental value, which is why we are so eager to return it to the rightful owners,” Detective Sergeant Penry said.
“There are a number of very distinctive pieces amongst the seized items and we are confident that people will recognise these.”
Anyone who has had jewellery stolen from their house in the weeks leading up to October 5 is urged to look at the images.
If anyone believes they own any of the stolen goods, they are asked to contact 8690 4936 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. They will be asked to provide their details and quote the unique reference number located on the image.
