MEET THE ARTIST: LOUISEANN KING
Wednesday, November 29 at 11am
Meet Bendigo Art Gallery 2017 Going Solo artist Louiseann King, who will share insights into her immersive installation arbor temporis momentum.
Learn about Louiseann’s conceptual approach, her use of materials both found and formed and the unique collaboration between Louiseann, sound artist Philip Samartzis and the bush surrounding her studio.
VERTIGO – SUMMER IN THE PARKS
Saturday, January 13 from 8-10.30pm at Rosalind Park, Bendigo
Experience Alfred Hitchcock's romantic story of obsession, manipulation and fear.
Edith Head’s designs for Kim Novak in Vertigo are arguably some of the most important costumes in film history, with Novak playing dual characters with sharply differing styles.
Vertigo will be aired as part of the Summer in the Parks outdoor cinema program.
Bring a blanket and witness the power of costume in defining a character. PG, 128 min.

GALLERY GIGGLES

Parents and little ones are invited to come along for Gallery Giggles – a short session of stories, songs and a taste of art for children aged up to five years.
Mums, dads and carers do need to stay and enjoy the fun!
Held on the first Thursday of every month during the school term. Bookings essential. Free.
HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
Morning and afternoon sessions in January
Every school holidays enjoy a kaleidoscope of art making workshops inspired by current exhibitions and the collection at Bendigo Art Gallery.
Children will be encouraged to tap into their own creativity and express their individuality through their art projects.
Designed for children aged 4 –14 years, these workshops book out fast so hop in and secure your spot soon.
Full details available via the website, or call in to the gallery for a copy of the holiday program. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a parent.
