The 49-year-old was stopped in Don Street, Bendigo, and returned an alleged reading of 0.124.
Her car was impounded and her licence suspended immediately.
Vehicles can be impounded if the driver returns a reading of 0.1 or higher.
Leading Senior Constable Peter Dyer, from Bendigo Highway Patrol, said the law around impounding vehicles was strong for a reason, because for some people, taking their vehicle away was the only way to stop them getting behind the wheel after drinking.
