New lots at Googong North Village
What if you could blend the best of Braddon and the 'burbs?
Open spaces and inner urban amenity collide in "the Village", a hip new pocket of Googong, close to the North Village Centre.
With the full suite of amenities soon to be in place, developers Peet and Mirvac are releasing a new pocket of land in Googong's North Village, which sits closest to the new shopping centre.
A cafe-bar, gourmet supermarket, gym, medical centre, dental service, vet, childcare centre and community centre will call the complex home.
"The Googong North Village Centre is for people who enjoy being in the thick of their community and close to local shops. For them, it's a lifestyle choice as well as an affordable decision, so we waited until we had all the new facilities and services in place for them to enjoy," said Googong project director Malcolm Leslie.
"This area has been designed for a broader range of housing and a slightly higher density that will really add to the village atmosphere."
And it's not just the basics at the centre. Everything has been catered for with amenity that includes a hairdresser, butcher, baker, restaurants and fast food.
Planned to house 18,000 people when complete, Googong Village has been designed around a connected series of neighbourhoods, each with its own character.
A range of housing types, from terraces to detached homes, will foster a diverse community catering to a range of lifestyle stages. Events such as a "Boogong'' Halloween party and "Googfest'' summer music festival provide a chance to celebrate the thriving community.
The Anglican School at Googong is expected to take its first intake of high school students in 2018, and a public school is slated for the block adjacent to the shopping centre.
Green space is at the heart of Googong's design. More than 23 per cent of the township's area is devoted to open space, with the first stage of the nine-kilometre-long Googong Common opening recently. Extensive revegetation and protection of endangered species will take place within this space.
While the backdrop of the rolling plains and the Molonglo Ranges might fool you, homes at Googong are surprisingly close to the big city. It's just a 25-minute drive to central Canberra, and 10 minutes to Queanbeyan.

The Borough
Sitting raised above the township, the Borough offers magnificent views over the Aprasia Conservation Area, a 30-hectare bushland reserve and conservation area. With just 13 lots, these homes will be a secluded oasis, bordered by parkland on three sides. Tree lined streets and stone letterboxes impart an atmosphere of luxury and class to the suburb.
Tucked away on the edge of town, the Borough's position offers privacy, but it still lies close to all the amenity Googong has to offer.
A short walk through parkland, brings you to the heart of Googong, including the Anglican School and the Village Centre. The children will love the playground situated in nearby parkland. Just two lots are still available for sale at the Borough, sized between 745 and 750 square metres.
