Blair Hinton was hit by a white sedan in Kennington at 5.20pm on October 31 when he attempted to cross Somerville Street on his bicycle near the roundabout with Townsend Street.
The car cut across a lane of traffic turning from Townsend into Somerville Street and collided with the side of Blair and his bike.
The car then drove over the back wheel of the bike and continued along Somerville Street without stopping, leaving Blair on the road.
Police are still investigating the hit-and-run and have called for anyone who witnessed it to come forward.
