The musical director will be responsible for selecting music and conducting rehearsals as well as some administrative tasks such as maintaining a calendar of events for performances, recruiting new members, and creating a community library of sheet music.
BTC’s “b sharp chorus” is non-gender specific and open to all ages.
It follows the innovative Natural Voice model which is about celebrating the voice you were born with, rather than trying to train it to an ideal of perfection.
The choir wants to build an accepting, non-judgmental community that sings together and welcomes all voices into the group without audition. Members are not required to read sheet music with the choir hoping to make learning by ear accessible to the whole group.
