The Spirit will be backing up from Thursday night’s home loss to the ladder-leading Sydney Uni Flames when they were belted 105-75 after scores had been level early in the third term.
The defeat was the second time in the past five games the Spirit have conceded more than 100 points, while it was the biggest loss the club has suffered in its 121 games played on its home court.
The Spirit – who are 0-4 away from home this season – head to Townsville with a 2-6 record, while the Fire are sitting third on the ladder with a 5-3 record.
Saturday night’s game between the Spirit and Fire tips off at 8pm Victorian time.
