Kangaroo Flat duo Riley Burns and Campbell Smith and Strathdale-Marisitans Suns’ James Barri all reached three figures in the same game at Weeroona College.

Burns became one of the few players in BDCA history to make a double-century in junior cricket when he made 200 not out, including 29 fours and six sixes.

Riley Burns, son of Kangaroo Flat great Adam Burns, faced 140 balls for his 200 before being retired.

Team-mate Campbell Smith added 100 not out, including 13 fours, as the Roos soared to 2-378 off 50 overs.

For the Suns, Barri made an unbeaten 127, including 23 fours and two sixes, out of a total of 5-252.

Strathfieldsaye’s Tim Johnston was the fourth player to make a century in round two.

Johnston compiled 101 not out in the Jets’ under-14A game against Bendigo at Quarry Hill.

Johnston retired on 52, but returned to the crease once the rest of his team-mates had a bat. In total he hit 14 fours and one six.

Best performance with the ball for the round came from Bendigo United under-16 player Bradman Constable, who claimed 7-13 off 9.4 overs against Strathdale-Maristians at Beischer Park.
