Beginning in Hargeaves Mall on Thursday and traversing more than 40 venues until Sunday night, the volunteer-run festival is welcoming local, national and international artists to their line-up.
Leading the way is US musician Travis Bowlin, who kicked off his first ever international tour with gigs at the BBRMF in 2016.
Also returning is Albury 11-piece folk-rock band The Northern Folk.
“Those two acts made more fans than anyone last year,” BBRMF director Colin Thompson said.
“Travis was such a huge smash with anyone played for or met. The Northern Folk made a stack of new fans and have been back to Bendigo two or three times since then.”
Thompson said he was excited to see Indigenous artist Yirrmal join the festival for the first time.
“That’s big step for us and the show will not only be culturally significant but a magical experience at Ulumbarra,” Thompson said.
