ACT Meteors duo Angela Reakes and Emily Leys are strapped in as the Sydney Sixers prepare to launch their Women's Big Bash League title defence.
???Reakes and Leys were unveiled as part of a quartet of re-signings alongside fast bowler Sarah Aley and spinner Lauren Smith on Thursday.
Sixers coach Ben Sawyer was rapt with the return of the Meteors all-rounders as the magenta outfit eyes back-to-back titles and a third straight final appearance.
"Angela is a talented cricketer and we are extremely lucky that she has once again agreed to sign with our club," Sawyer said.
"With the bat, ball and in the field, Angela is a high energy cricketer who gives maximum effort every time she represents our club, and that is something that every coach hopes for from their players.
"Emily is a much-loved member of our squad and I am very glad that she has re-signed with our club.
"I know that Emily has worked hard with a number of coaches in preparation for WBBL 03 to give herself the best chance of success in this year's tournament, and I look forward to seeing where her game can go in the coming season."
Reakes and Leys join a host of big names that have already signed on with the defending champions, led by skipper Ellyse Perry and wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy.
The Sixers begin their title defence against the Melbourne Stars at North Sydney Oval on December 9, before backing up in a cross-town derby against the Sydney Thunder a day later.
