Cr O’Rourke is a 50 per cent shareholder in the company, which has outstanding debts of $378,000 across 36 creditors.
Insolvency firm PPB Advisory were appointed liquidators on October 4.
PPB Advisory communications director Kim Lovely confirmed Cr O’Rourke had not been a director of the company or held a management role since it began trading in November 2014.
In a statement Cr O’Rourke said the sole director of the company is her husband, Ray O’Rourke.
“Whilst I was a shareholder in the company, I had no role in the management of the company,” she said.
“The winding up of the company has no impact on my role as a councillor under the Local Government Act.”
The act states a person becomes ineligible for council if they are an undischarged bankrupt, or their property is subject to control under the law relating to bankruptcy, among others.
