While the Crows remain undefeated, they handed Sedgwick its first loss in Saturday’s match of the round.
Sedgwick’s batting line-up failed to fire as it was all out for just 119 at Spring Gully.
The Crows’ Rhys Webb kept the pressure on the Rams with 4-17 off 7.1 overs, while Liam Pilcher also gave little away with his tidy 2-11 off eight overs.
Crows’ captain Alex Sutton (1-20) gave his side the perfect start when he had Rams’ dangerman Matt Dwyer caught for one by Damien Venville.
And soon after the Rams were 2-12 when last-round century-maker Daniel Chamberlain (7) was bowled by James Fox (1-14).
Greg Thomas (32) top-scored for the Rams, whose last four wickets fell for 22.
The Crows lost just two wickets in passing their total, before stumps were pulled in the 36th over with the score 4-166.
Webb capped a fine game for the Crows with a knock of 66, while Brannon Stanford (43) and Joel Bish (25) got the chase away to a strong start with a 63-run stand for the first wicket.
The Crows have now won their past three games against the Rams.
• Mandurang narrowly avoided what would have been a shock loss to West Bendigo.
The Rangas needed the last pair of Jeremy Hancock and Thomas Martin to get them over the line after they had been 9-146 chasing the Redbacks’ 7-153.
Hancock (16) and Martin (1 n.o.) scored the eight runs needed for victory, before the innings ended with the score on 158.
Cain Ladiges (37) and Matt Pask (30) were the leading run-scorers for the Rangas, who won their third game in a row.
Josh Connolly in his first Division 1 game for the Redbacks was their leading wicket-taker with 3-42 off eight overs.
Shannon Murphy (2-15 off eight) was economical for the Redbacks, who earlier won the toss and batted.
The best partnership of the Redbacks’ innings was the 53 openers Travis O’Connell (34) and Ben Henson (26) put on.
The Redbacks later lost 4-13 mid-innings when they crashed from 2-87 to 6-100.
Beau Roy-Clements and Clinton Botham both snared 2-18 off eight overs for Mandurang.

With captain Brad Webster (4-38) continuing his fine start to the season, the Cobras restricted the Tigers to 8-167 off their 40 overs.
Webster’s four wickets took his tally to a competition-best 12.
The Tigers worked their way to 167 having one stage been 7-106 and then 8-124.
Andrew Duguid (27 n.o.) and Damien Nihill (17 n.o.) shared in an unbroken stand of 43 for the ninth wicket, while earlier opener Oscar McKinley compiled 30.
In reply the Cobras mowed down their target for the loss of six wickets on the way to a final tally of 9-192.
Coming in at 4-100, Mick Galvin (43 n.o.) guided the Cobras to victory, while Golden Gully also had handy contributions from Jeremy Rogerson (31) and Webster (27).
Duguid (2-42) and Nihill (2-28) claimed two wickets apiece for the Tigers.

• Maiden Gully improved to 3-1 following its 12-run win over Marong.
The Gully posted 6-203 batting first, featuring a half-century to veteran Leon Beatty (52) and 47 to opener Anthony Medhurst.
And Darcy Poulter’s unbeaten 39 included sharing in an 86-run stand for the sixth wicket with Beatty.
Captain Tom Wilson (2-45) and Adam Brown (2-27) took two wickets apiece for the Panthers, who remained winless after being held to 9-191 in their chase.
Scott Ross (56, 11 fours) and Chris Dixon (45) laid a solid platform for the Panthers with a 96-run opening partnership.
Both were dismissed by Maiden Gully’s Rob Brown as part of his 4-37 off eight overs.
