Reaching artistic potential

La Trobe University is home to a vast collection of art – one of the largest in Australia – parts of which were recently on display at Bendigo Art Gallery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the university.

With so many wonderful pieces to draw from, La Trobe Art Institute has delved deeper into its rich cultural asset base and put together a new exhibition of artwork called A Gathering.

To celebrate the new show, La Trobe Art Institute extends a warm welcome to all members of the creative arts community of Bendigo to a human gathering.

In the surrounds of the new exhibition, LAI invites our art-makers and art-lovers to meet, mingle and discuss the future of art in our area and its potential.

The LAI will also announce its exhibition program for 2018 and celebrate the strength of arts in our region. The gathering will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 5.30-7pm, 121 View St, Bendigo.
