Bendigo’s famous tulip display is nearing the end of its season, meaning green-thumbed residents will soon be able to snap up the bulbs for their own gardens.

The tulip dig will be held at 8.30am on Tuesday, November 7 in Rosalind Park, at the conservatory and the Queen’s Gardens.
Gardeners will be able to buy a bag for $5 (with a maximum of four bags per person), which they can fill with the bulbs.

People are asked to bring their own small garden fork or spade – shovels and large mattocks are not allowed.
Some 30,000 bulbs have been planted in the city’s gardens for the famous display, which was first planted in the mid-2000s.
