Having already made his mark for the Goers in round one with a match-winning 115 not out against Huntly-North Epsom, Humphrys peeled off another century on Saturday, this time against Bendigo United.
Humphrys blasted 136 off just 128 balls as the Goers amassed 3-293 in reply to the Redbacks’ 215 at Harry Trott Oval.

“I’m seeing them well at the moment and just mentally in a really good place with my cricket and that’s what’s helping more than anything,” said Humphrys, who has moved from Warrnambool to Bendigo for university studies.
With back-to-back tons, Humphrys is the first Goers’ player since Glenn Franzi in 2006-07 to score two centuries in the one season.
Bendigo United’s part-time spinner Chris Howgate felt the full brunt of Humphrys.
Humphrys blasted 28 off one of Howgate’s overs – four sixes and one four – as he accelerated after reaching his ton.
“I decided to have a bit of a go and just try to get as many runs as possible in a short amount of time,” Humphrys said.
Humphrys smashed 14 boundaries and five sixes after coming in with the Goers’ 2-115 in the 40th over.
Humphrys was one of four players to make first XI tons on Saturday.
White Hills’ Gavin Bowles (165 n.o.), Strathdale-Maristians’ skipper Ben DeAraugo (130) and Kangaroo Flat’s Dylan Gibson (102) also notched centuries.
