The BTC line-ups were in top form on the grass courts in Barnard Street.
Cobras won all six rubbers on their way to a 69-39 victory against Castlemaine.
The dominance of the BTC team was shown in the sets tally, 12-2.
Among the highs were the fightback by Jack Baker from a 5-7 loss in the opening set to then defeat Ben Bailey, 6-3 10-5.
Frank Ryan won a closely-fought duel with Castlemaine’s David Carre, 4-6 6-3 10-3.
Terry Smith and Rashelle Blencowe added to the Cobras bite.
• Taipans scored a 20-game win against Growl Weightlifting in the battle of the BTC clubmates.
The Ryan Michell-led Taipans won five rubbers in a 11-65 to 5-45 result.
Best of the singles contests were a 6-4 5-7 11-9 win by Ryan Brook against Growl’s Sam Storer, and a 6-4 5-7 10-3 victory by Dom Barton against Alex Neave.
• South Bendigo’s fighting spirit shone in a 3-6-44 to 3-6-42 win against Spring Gully Words & Pictures Photography.
In the number one and two singles, South Bendigo’s Jordan Hicks and Connor Glehill won in straight sets against Robert Gallagher and Jayden Baber.
Words and Pictures struck back as Jarrod Epps and Carl Hardingham achieved the same feat in their clashes with Brett Mulgrew and Tiahna Leader.
The doubles matches were split.
• Strathfieldsaye thrashed Spring Gully Strath Eppalock Butterflies by 30 games.
Aidan Fitzgerald marked his return to the BTA by starring in a 11-68 to 3-38 win.
Fitzgerald outpointed Matt Hartland, 6-1 6-3, and teamed with Michael Smyth for a 6-1 6-2 win against Hartland and Jamie Brown.
A highlight for Butterflies was the 3-6 7-5 11-9 win by Jacob Grieves against Lachlan Perdon.
Strath’s Nick Bath won in straight sets against Danielle Bowles.
• The Quest Bendigo section one pennant was at the new-look William Loud complex where Spring Gully won two of three matches.
