Tuesday’s final full-dress rehearsal was a chance to lock everything in, though Director Vern Wall said the crew was considering a shorter rehearsal on Wednesday should they want to make any final tweaks, including practicing with technical elements of the set.
“It’s looking spectacular. People are going to be really impressed with the music, the costuming, sets and acting,” he said
“We had full orchestra in there (for the first full dress rehearsal) and they were really rocking the place.”
Mr Wall said the cast was looking great too.
“They just need an audience. They will lift to 120 per cent once they hear that audience clapping and cheering,” he said.
The musical began life as a novel before being adapted into a movie in 2001. It follows Elle Woods, a character enrolling at Harvard Law School in a bid to win back her ex-boyfriend.
The musical premiered in San Francisco in 2007 and would come to Bendigo for the first time this weekend.
“It will really be nothing like anyone in Bendigo has seen before,” Mr Wall said.

He encouraged people to purchase their tickets if they had not done so already, with the season running this weekend only.
“It’s a great night of entertainment for the whole family. It is PG and we will see a few little adult themes running through the show but it will have a lot of appeal for everyone,” Mr Walls said.
“There is lots of singing, dancing and the set is spectacular.”
Mr Wall said there would also be some genuinely touching moments.
“It’s not just a frothy, bubbly show. It has got a really strong message underneath about not judging people by their appearance … and that if people believe in themselves there is nothing they cannot achieve,” he said.
