Severe weather warning for damaging winds issued for parts of central Victoria

A severe weather warning for damaging winds has been issued for parts of central Victoria.

The Bureau of Meteorology says winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are expected to extend into central areas of the state late this morning.

Parts of the Central and North Central forecast district, including Kyneton and Daylesford, are among the areas affected.

The SES advises that people move vehicles under cover or away from trees; secure or put away loose items around the house, yard and balcony; and keep clear of fallen power lines.
