Air ambulance again called to Calder after second two-car smash in single afternoon

The air ambulance has been called to central Victoria for the second time today following a two-car crash on the Calder Highway in Ravenswood South.

Ambulance officers are assessing three passengers, including a preschool-aged boy, after one of the vehicles rolled about 3.30pm.

The condition of a male and a female involved in the incident is not yet known.

CFA crews from Harcourt and Walmer were also headed to the crash site on Sunday afternoon.

According to the VicRoads website, the Calder is closed northbound at Fogartys Gap Road while the collision is cleared.

“Police advise it will be a short term closure for the recovery of a vehicle,” the website read.
