A man in his 50s was flown to Melbourne’s Alfred hospital on Sunday in a serious but stable condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
Another two people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries are were receiving care at Bendigo hospital.
Wycheproof SES crew members rescued the trapped driver and administered first aid to five people while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
EARLIER: An air ambulance is en route to the scene of a two-car crash in Wycheproof this afternoon in which three people have been injured.
The crash occurred shortly after 1pm on the Calder Highway at Fawcetts Road, just north of the town’s centre.
It is believed the collision caused one vehicle to roll, leaving at least one passenger trapped.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said a 50-year-old man with head injuries would likely be transported to Melbourne for treatment, while another injured person, a man in his 20s suffering a leg injury, would be taken to Bendigo.
CFA and police officers are also in attendance.
