The Loddon Valley, Heathcote District, North Central and Bendigo league grand finals have been played over the past four Saturdays, with a total of $191,655 taken at the gate.
The gate takings ranged from $71,500 for last Saturday’s Bendigo league grand final at the QEO to $32,000 for Loddon Valley’s big day at Serpentine on September 2.
• 2017 grand final gate takings:
Bendigo – $71,500
Heathcote District – $50,000
North Central – $38,165
Loddon Valley – $32,000
Last Saturday’s grand final gate of $71,500 for Strathfieldsaye’s 32-point win over Eaglehawk was $6500 more than last year when Sandhurst defeated Golden Square.
The Loddon Valley also had a significant increase this year, with its grand final gate of $32,000 well ahead of 2016’s $26,000 at Pyramid Hill.
