Gate takings tick over $190,000 for AFL Central Victoria grand finals

JUST over $191,000 was collected in gate takings across AFL Central Victoria’s four senior league grand finals.

The Loddon Valley, Heathcote District, North Central and Bendigo league grand finals have been played over the past four Saturdays, with a total of $191,655 taken at the gate.

The gate takings ranged from $71,500 for last Saturday’s Bendigo league grand final at the QEO to $32,000 for Loddon Valley’s big day at Serpentine on September 2.

Bendigo – $71,500

Heathcote District – $50,000

North Central – $38,165

Loddon Valley – $32,000

Last Saturday’s grand final gate of $71,500 for Strathfieldsaye’s 32-point win over Eaglehawk was $6500 more than last year when Sandhurst defeated Golden Square.

The Loddon Valley also had a significant increase this year, with its grand final gate of $32,000 well ahead of 2016’s $26,000 at Pyramid Hill.
